Anna Bartlett
Contemporary Painter
Anna is a contemporary painter who lives in a very long house on top of foggy Mount Kynoch in Toowoomba.
Happy colours are her thing and the finishing coat of shiny, gloss varnish is her favourite part of the art process. Inspired by Matisse and Ken Done, her paintings are colourful and illustrative, often featuring flowers and birds.
ABOUT THE HOUSE OF ARTISAN WORKSHOP
This is the short version of my full day ‘Brush Lettering Basics’ – and it’s a fantastic way to get started (or restarted) with hand lettering.
And it’s a lot of fun for one morning.
We’ll supply everything – a selection of pens, brushes and papers, as well as worksheets for in class, and for you to continue to practice on at home.
You’ll also receive a take-home kit, so you’ll be totally set up to continue practicing… and I’ve got plenty of ideas of how to sneak hand lettering into your day to day life as well 😉
Together we’ll work through how to hold your pen and brush, then we’ll experiment with different types of brush pens so you can decide which one you like best. Then we’ll get the watercolours out and you’ll impress yourself with COLOUR!
