ABOUT THE ARTISAN

My name is Honey, and I am the face behind Knotted Honey.

I learnt macrame a little over two years ago and safe to say it was love at first workshop. From that moment I have been hooked and have loved exploring every aspect of the craft and developing my own style and ethos at the same time. I never could have imagined that this craft would develop into a small business focused on creating unique one off pieces for people’s homes. Macrame weaving has been one of my many discoveries in this creative journey that took me outside my symmetry bubble of macrame and had me exploring different fibres to create with. Working with natural fibres, that have been ethically and sustainably manufactured has always been a priority of mine as has ensuring minimal waste through the creative process. It is for this reason that I only use natural fibres in my macrame weaves. I love the limitless possibibilities of this craft and more than anything I love sharing this passion of mine with other people.

ABOUT THE WORKSHOP

The macrameweave workshop combines two crafts, the craft of macrame combined with the craft of weaving. In this workshop you will learn how to combine these to art forms into one using various knotting and weaving techniques. You will begin by making your own macrame piece filled with negative space that you can then weave into.

You will use natural fibres including, cotton, merino wool, linens and silks to create your own macrameweave masterpiece.
